March 2025 – Group update
Read the latest on our campaign in the March 2025 update. Highlights below:
- This link Clubspark / Roehampton / Booking / Book by date originally just for the tennis courts, now facilitates bookings for all currently bookable activities – hard court tennis (six courts, some also used for schools’ and clubs’ netball), pickleball (Sports Hall, Wednesdays 11am-1pm), soccer, STP (mostly hockey) and Studio (currently closed).
- Provisionally, site closure for the Qualifiers Build will commence from Monday 12th May, to re-open provisionally 4th August. At our next bi-annual meeting with the AELTC, planned for early May, we hope to learn details of spectator bookings for Qualifying week, 23rd – 26th June, the date for the subsequent re-opening of the grass courts and the AELTC’s view of their own ‘longevity’ at Roehampton.
- In relation to the last of these, Save Wimbledon Park (Home | Save Wimbledon Park) are seeking Judicial Review of the Deputy Mayor’s September last planning approval. For any with an interest, public meetings are planned w/c 24th March (Wimbledon and Southfields) and funding is sought.
Please go to the dates and documents page for a full list of previous documents and events.
